In a post-apocalyptic world, Aria Fyre struggles to find her way and survive the dangers of this new reality. The loss of her father and the emotional absence of her mother have proven to take their toll on Aria's behaviour. Living in a "safe" town that has been restored and barricaded to be kept safe from the dangers of the outside world seems great. But what happens when the town becomes too "boring" for a rebellious teenager? Aria meets teenager Silas Blaze who shares her feelings of neglect and boredom, and together they plan to venture out into the terrifying world.
