EDIT 2: it has probably been about 6-7 years since I started writing this and more than half of that has probably been without an update. While I can't promise one coming soon (or honestly ever), I don't have the heart to mark it discontinued just yet. These two are very special to me, so for now, it'll be on "indefinite hiatus." Maybe when I'm finally able to play the series myself will this get an update.

The quality of writing certainly isn't stellar or even subpar 😅 but regardless, if people decide to give it a shot, thank you. I, mostly 13 year old me, appreciate that.All Rights Reserved

Abby has been a paramedic for a few years now. She's seen an awful lot of injuries, she's witnessed births and deaths, she's been in very stressful situations. It was all normal to her. Until one day, she comes across something really weird. Alex is 18. He thought he could leave his past behind. But MI6 (today called SIS) had other plans. Another mission, supposedly a pretty simple one. During a chase, he gets slammed against a car. The two guards after him collide with eachother. Alex has to hide in an underground parking space, he has to continue his investigation. Unfortunately, a paramedic sent to the accident wanders off of her group. Under no circumstances should she find out about Alex and what he's up to. Disclaimer: I write this fanfic because I am slowly loosing my grip on reality and Alex Rider is the only thing that keeps me sane. English is not my native language and I've probably made some mistakes but I don't care. This fic is purely for my entertainment but if you also like this story then keep on reading! In addition, I am not american and don't know much about the healthcare system so I figured I'd adapt the one from my country. It's just practical for me and as I said, I'm literally descending into madness so pardon the inaccuracy. Be warned, not a single fuck was given during the writing of these chapters.

Then they met Neil, and it was like seeing themselves for the first time, in stark light. He was always courteous and professional, unlike their other delivery men from the MC. He never treated them with anything except respect. In the reflection of his cobalt eyes, though, neither saw themselves worth his respect. It wasn't a shaming, more of a profound regret that a man like Neil finally showed up and they were too far into the life to say "hey, this isn't who we are." The whole "I'm not as I am" Othello play was for victims anyway, and they weren't victims. They were volunteers. But just meeting Neil slammed the door on waiting any longer to get out and back to university. Then two other dealers left the club, and turned up in trash bags, their bodies hacked up by machete.
