Captured by the enemy and forced to become the King's concubine Kaloe discovers a world he never understood, the land.

But when he bonds with the King's son, he must decide where his true home is and what is more important. Saving the empire or saving one boy. To do this he must rely on the prince of an enemy land, a thieving human, and an old love. But can Kaloe outrun a king whose intent on tracking him down, a war General bent on revenge and these confusing new feelings towards a human full of lies and tricks. Also, what's he supposed to do about King's baby he carries- the pearl of the empire.
