In 2018, half of the world's population was snapped into tiny dust fragments, all done by one large, ugly titan named Thanos-3,841,894,914 people who randomly disappeared and were no longer part of life. The world was hit by something that would take years to heal from. Everybody was attacked with grief, tackled to the ground and tied with rope. But whilst half the world's lives were stopped, placed on what was thought to be a permanent pause, everyone else's life went on, and continued to play to the desired timeline.

Melissa Bosten was dusted. A twenty-five-year-old who had finally managed to get her life back on track after moving away from her home in London. She had rented her small Brooklyn apartment in 2017. She had regained self-control of her enhanced abilities, happy to go out into the world without fear of ruining an innocent's life. Melissa could have no care in the world for once in her life.

And then it was the new year. The year that she was going to be herself.

Until she was blipped.
