Clones from all backgrounds - 501st, 212th, 104th, etcetra (plus any jedi who come along for the ride). This isn't sticking to timelines - it's just what I've come up with!
WARNINGS:

There was once a story of a man who could take on whole armies and survive. A man thought to be more machine than human, something that could rival the Sith. That story was wrong, this man could take on empires and the Sith, they feared him. His name echoes in the shadows, an unspoken hero of freedom and democracy; 117. This story is a rewritten version of the original Project Ares (by me) and features extra content and better/more concise chapters. Still, I do not take credit for the characters, only the story. Confronting Fear
"When I offer you my hand again, you'll take it." What if Kylo Ren had been right? What if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he offered it the second time, deciding her best chance at defeating Palpatine and saving the galaxy was with him? But can the two of them overcome their differences and mistrust of each other to accomplish that task or will pride win out? And then there is a certain group of meddling Force Ghosts determined to test them to their fullest. Meanwhile, Finn has a destiny of his own to fulfill chasing visions of his past across the galaxy. Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version. The Kaminoans seeing this a flaw wanted to exterminate this batch but were stop. Now they fight for the Republic, along side thier brother under the Command of Silver Eye. After a job provided by Rex goes wrong, the batch discover something about one of their own that they never knew. This infomation soon comes to haunt the batch as the past catches up to a certain marksman who has no choice but to 'disappear' from the universe in order to keep everyone safe but it costs him deeply. At what cost? Well in fact, it impacts the lives of all those around him, not that they know it. The memory of the past is fuzzy to some until a young blood female child takes the shot that ends the war against the ruthless Empire, but not only does happiness come, the past returns and not everyone is happy to discover what has happened.
