Twelve-year-old fashionista Emerald Wabayshi from District 1 is reaped for the Hunger Games, thrust into a world of violence she never imagined. Struggling with the idea of killing to survive, she devises a plan to pretend to be ruthless, masking her innocent heart. As she fakes her way through the deadly competition, the weight of her actions begins to tear at her soul. Divided between survival and her true nature, she must decide whether to continue the charade or risk everything by revealing her innocence.

This is the first in a series of Hunger Games fanfics I will be publishing here on this account. Fanfiction based on The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. All rights go to Suzanne Collins. This story used to be called "Emerald Wabayashi: A Hunger Games Fanfiction," but it was renamed.
