After Michael came to Henry for help one night, when the teenage boy broke out of the house and ran away in an act of desperation, Henry finally realizes what type of bad situation Michael is in. Not to mention, how terribly Evan's death is eating him up inside. Henry isn't sure exactly what to do about it, but he promises Michael that he will do whatever he can, and at least provide a safe place for the grieving teen to escape to.
Within time, the two grow closer, and Henry knows that now he cannot let go of the one person who has not yet fallen by William's hands.
(This is a roleplay between me and a very close friend. Read the note at the beginning for more info, and for the reason I'm posting this in the first place.)

I feel myself blush profusely as Michael puts his face close to mine. He pressed his hands on my shoulders, holding me against the lockers behind me. I glanced around, wondering what he thought he was doing. Part of me wanted to push him away out of embarrassment, but the other wanted him to stay. My shoulders relaxed as I realized that I felt safe here, in his arms. I closed my eyes, letting out an exhale as I felt him wrap his hands around my neck. Eight years after the infamous Bite of Eighty-Seven, we pick up the narrative in a smaller, but no less important Pizzeria. (My goal for this book is for it to go through every game possible while staying as true to the timeline as possible.
