A young witty city woman naming Lydia McCartney has now entered the afterlife and was on her way to the bridge where newly arrived souls come to know where they headed. All going smooth, seeing a lot of dead people talking how they've died that's great to hear...for some people. When it was Lydia's turn, it become a big shocker! Her name was on the list but she couldn't seem to get through the bridge, things were surely in a buzz which Lydia shouldn't get rid of. The Receptionist at the bridge called to tell Lydia about a mishap in the souls scrolls, known as the to-do-lists of the reapers that was now currently mended by the messengers. But still, it wasn't the answer to Lydia's question on why she couldn't get across until a newbie messenger, Thalia, secretly admitted to her that it was her who made the mistake and wanted to seek for Lydia's help to fix it in able to get her not-so-dead life back. Of course both of Thalia and Lydia's time were running out so they gotta move fast and find that lost message in time. Question is, can they do it before its too late? Can Thalia be able to mend her clumsy mistake? Can Lydia get her sweet life back without any demons prowling around? *This Story is an entry to the ONC 2024...so hope you people enjoy reading it and never forget to support the hard work! "Is this...the...suicide hotline?" "I...um, yes?" "...Are you asking or telling?" "...Telling?" "What would you do if I told you I wanted to die?" "I would beg you not to." "Would you, stranger? Would you really?" "I would." Aurora Glass was raised in a sleepy town, completely sheltered from the darker things in life. That's why she doesn't know how to react when she gets a call from a man looking for a suicide hotline. Out of fear he'll actually commit suicide if he doesn't get help immediately, she lies and pretends to be a hotline worker. Parker Hollowell is on the edge. He's slipping into the void, but unlike some he's aware of it. In a desperate attempt to save his own life, he calls a suicide hotline. The woman on other end sounds very sketchy and suspiciously young. Not that it matters. He's just glad someone pretends to care about his life and his problems. When a cynical, depressed man unintentionally lets a bubbly, optimistic woman into his life, he has no choice but to bend to her will and see that maybe, there was more to life then he thought.
