In an alternate dimension, Elise Sadler, a seventeen-year-old high school student befriends a shy, introverted Alexei Ivanovich whom she begins to confide in as both their families start to fall apart. To make matters even worse, Elise faces an incident that leads to her getting ostracised by her own schoolmates. All she wants is to escape from the wretched world and turn over a new leaf.
