From the hustle and bustle of New York to the relatively laid-back atmosphere of California, Alicia returns to The Golden State, her career in journalism taking a turn for the better. But a chance encounter with an old friend sweeps her back in time - back when she was with him - the fancy-free music superstar with magic feet and an enchanting melody. Things ended sourly with them a few years ago that she swore she'd never return to the land of palm trees and hopes and dreams. But will her return rekindle what was lost?
