Ace Jones, her archenemy ends up entering same competition and they both get picked as partners.

"You" I said as a scowl slowly grew on my face.

"Shouldn't you be a hobo in New York begging for your last meal?" He asked with that smirk I've always despised.

"And shouldn't you be in hell getting viciously ass raped by Satan?" I retorted and his smirk turned to a small smile.

"I see you haven't changed, same vixen I once knew"

"You haven't either, same dumb idiot I wish I never knew" I replied folding my arms.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked and he stared at me briefly
"I'm sorry" He said
"You're sorry?... Sorry is what you say to people when you accidentally step on their foot or spill their coffee idiot.. Sorry isn't what you say when you get me involved in being chased by fucking assassins" I said sternly before taking a turn into an alley.
"Shit! It's a fucking dead end" Ace said

I blushed at that and I wanted to look away but one of his hands stopped me and turned my face towards him. "Get used to hearing compliments because you're going to hear them often in the future. Now, about my offer..." He gave me an expectant look. I thought for a while. I still wasn't sure it was a good idea but I liked working at the shop and still wanted to work there for a little while. "Alright, let's do it," I said. "Now? Here? Damn Angel, first the fiancé thing, and now this. For someone inexperienced, you sure move fast" He joked and I laughed. *Warning ⚠️* Strong language, triggering topics such as body shaming, depression...

"Oh no," the blond shook his head. "Oh no?" another man asked. "What's oh no?" "Will has the look," he looked at his partner in horror. "The 'we're going to make the riskiest decision in our life' look." "Hey," Will winked at all of them and put up his bow, "It's not life without a little risk, right?" *** He needed her. He wanted her back. There were so many thoughts that fought for control of his mind. A part of him told him to try and go back to her, regardless of a silly restraining order. He would do anything to get back those happy smiles and laughter. But there were more thoughts that told him to stay there, next to the fascinating man that gave him curt replies, yet struck him to his very core like an arrow through the heart. He had started to overcome his maddening thoughts more often recently. "Oh, by the way," the man roared his sports car to life, looking at him through his sunglasses.
