Part 1 of 4 (The Stainway Quartet)
The Playing fields is the first in a series of Nigel Stainway's misadventures in Ashton Hills in Canada. He visits his ex stage actress aunt, hoping to get help with his writing, which was pretty awful and driving his parents crazy. He learns a lot more about the creation of a stage play through his aunt's manipulations and the outrageous residents of The Paisley Pathway. The second book is 'The Further Adventures of Nigel Stainway'.
