Markus Raze knows more about this then any living creature on the planet, because his two sides just so happen to be The Hoods, the entity's of good and evil, of right or wrong. Can Markus learn to control the storm that is The Hoods? Or will he crumple to dust? And what happens when the girl of his dreams is dragged into his insanity?

Remi has always loved the forest, the different sounds, smells, the way she could get lost in it and never have to go home to her non-existent parents. She goes in and out of her life with her best friend everyday just waiting until they're both old enough to leave their small boring town. "If we lived in the forest we wouldn't have gummy bears any more." I comment to lighten the mood. She doesn't find it funny. "I'm serious Remi! What if we did run away?" "Jen, we can't just run away. I know your parents are strict but I truly think they just want what's best for you." She says nothing. For a moment I fear she's mad at me but then she puts her head on my shoulder and I know we're okay.

The man tells her his name finally but he also reveals a dark horrible secret from his past which traumatized him for years, then she feels like she's actually falling in love with him. He knows everything about her, the reason she became human, the two powers she could have, the truth of how her father died. He begins to protect her life with his own.
