Princess Celestia allows Twilight to go to the other world for exploration. However, due to the Changeling invasion during the royal wedding, the negative energies it produced also frees Discord from his stone prison, who also decides that Earth should be his new playground. Meanwhile the Autobots continue to defend Earth from Megatron, and his Decepticons; ignorant that a new player is about to release chaos upon the world. And Megatron is not about to let another would-be conqueror steal his prize. Equestria also has it's problems when Queen Chrysalis returns to Canterlot, bent on usurping Celestia and Luna. Twilight Sparkle, and Optimus Prime must save two worlds from three powerful villains.

They said it wielded weapons that could turn mountains into gravel, and seas into desert. That it was clad in armor, that neither the sharpest blades, nor the mightiest magics, could pierce. The rumors said it was unstoppable, relentless, beyond the power of mare or beast to oppose, that it was. . . a god. The Equestria Girls make their return to Fairytopia, to Elina's delight. But the eight girls barely get any time to reconcile and fly around (as in their last Fairytopia adventure, they had gotten wings) when they run into a sea butterfly, who has terrible news: Prince Nalu of Mermaidia has been kidnapped by Laverna's fungi! Laverna herself, who had been banished to the Bog of the Hinterlands, was trying to get her fungi to find the immunity berry, which is said to protect you from all magic in the past, present, and future. And they need Nalu to find it. And if Nalu doesn't give them the berry, Mermaidia will be poisoned until no life in the oceanic world exists. Elina and the Equestria Girls quickly go to try and save Nalu, where they find the mermaid Nori, who's not interested in helping these girls out at first. But eventually, all nine of them track down the Oracle Delphie, who tells them how to find Nalu: go to the bottom of the Depths of Despair and find the Mirror of the Mist, which would help them find his location. However, there's a price involved should Elina and the Equestria Girls go down there. In order to find the strength to get to the bottom, they'll have to give up their wings--and their magic--in order to rescue Nalu and prevent Laverna from getting the immunity berry. Can they do it? Or is Mermaidia and all of Fairytopia doomed?

Azura comes to Elina just as the Equestria Girls arrive. It's a good thing they showed up as well. Azura and the other guardians of Fairytopia have decided to select 14 new apprentices to learn the Flight of Spring, one of the most important events that secures the future of Fairytopia. And the guardians want Elina and the Equestria Girls to be eight of them! They fly to the Crystal Palace, where they learn how the flight goes: they open the First Blush of Spring, which will reveal the first rainbow for the fairy world. Fail, and Fairytopia is doomed for ten years of bitter winter. Slowly, all fourteen apprentices get to know each other, with Sunburst, Elina, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack becoming the most competitive towards each other. But it's not like things can go perfect for long. In fact, Elina, Linden, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy accidentally get Laverna out of her frog form, and things get even weirder when Sunburst suddenly starts acting nice. Three of the apprentices keep confronting them on the mistake. Oh, and the guardians fall into comas. The Enchantress knows that the fourteen have to complete the flight together. This story is a sequel to My Little Pony - The Legend of Friendship After Twilight was summoned to take part in her very first Princess Summit in the Crystal Empire, her crown was stolen by two mysterious ponies who took it with them to another world. In order to get the crown back, she and Star Twinkle decided to go to this other world in order to bring the crown back to Equestria. But soon they found themselves in completely different bodies and a world that they yet had to understand. This story takes place after Season three of My Little Pony - The Legend of Friendship (After Chapter 65) and is a rewrite of the first Equestria Girls movie.
