L Lawliet, worlds greatest detective and possibly the smartest person alive... can't talk. Well, he can, but only to those he's deeply connected with. Partially mute, he hides behind his screen and solves crimes anonymously. Speaking to taskforces with text to speech, and no face shown. Until he's pushed into a corner with a particularly tricky case, and ends up having to make his first face to face interaction. (y/n) shows up to the hotel room of the worlds greatest detective, thinking they'd see a well polished, wise old man. Instead they're met with a tired, young and rather huggable looking guy with eyebags holding a torn notebook page saying "I am L, and I can't talk" -- GNC READER. Basically all language for the reader is gender neutral, anyone can read! Non binary mfs rejoice. When the eventual lemon hits it'll be kinda alluded to an AFAB body (bc marketing to my main audience yo), but all pronouns are they/them and there's no descriptions of tiddies or anything. COMPLETED ✓ (edited 26th February 2023) Many teenagers deal with peer problems and social anxiety; well, there you meet Sage Parker. Not your very typical, but typical 17 year-old. She didn't have a problem with that; she loves being alone, enjoying binge-ing TV shows, finishing an entire can of Ben&Jerry's by herself and, sometimes, calling her only best friend to chat. One day, a new boy transfers into her school. He's distant, cold and sometimes even funny. There's Max Bordel, reuniting with his long lost friend group, finding a job at a local diner and making harmless pranks.
