Every human as an hourglass, it measures how much time we have on this earth. When our hourglass runs out, we die. So what happens when the hourglass for the human race runs out? Lily is 18 and had her whole new life as an adult to look forward to, but it all came crumbling down when the apocalypse struck. Can she possibly avoid the destruction of the human race? Or will she be slain by the might of Abbadon? In times of despair is Humanity something you are born with or something you gain?

No one expected the Sky Fall, the rapid disappearance of the stars before they crashed into Earth, rendering it useless. No one expected humanity to survive the burning blasts, to rebuild itself and fight with a strength that only the human race can. And no one expected what the Sky Fall would bring with it, an opening to a new world, a doorway allowing unspeakable creations to finally cross their way into Earth. Haven was created to expect the unexpected, a corporate laboratory who's only purpose is to reverse the effects of the Sky Fall and close the doorway for good. In a world where everything is far from perfect, there are challenges, risks, failed tasks and so much more. So after Glory and Deathbringer have their triplets and move to Houston, Texas, they face many difficulties, especially after having three more children. With six kids to care for, the triplets being 15, Deathbringer gets a job as a detective in their new state while Glory is a stay-at-home mom, watching over the babies. So, what happens when a "stranger" knocks on their door or the their lives are constantly at stake, or any other challenges like that? It's a struggle to live in peace every day, but if they stick together, that would be enough.

This is a short story about a woman who's heart is broken. A man who's mind is still on the battlefield. And an unlikely, and instant love between them. Will they survive? What happens when her ex comes back into the picture?

Lilly is the most important person in the world only she doesn't know it yet. Her very existence could spark a war, which may very well tear the world apart.
