After Mariana moves back into town to continue her teaching career, she runs into the new town mechanic. They seem like an unlikely pair, but he's new to town and needs a little guidance. She's lived here her whole life, and she is more than willing to help. Atticus has been burned before in his past relationships, but the more time he spends with Mariana the more he knows she isn't like the woman he just got away from. Mariana has always been career focused, never interested in others advances, but something about Atticus intrigues her.
