Britain, Canada, and America had arranged to leave in the same car from the UN meeting; they were all staying at America's New York residence. For reasons neither Canada nor Britain had understood or cared enough to find out, they weren't using America's car - or even Canada's - but, rather, Britain's rental. They walked from the General Assembly of the United Nations building in New York, New York, to a parking garage nearby, and America was suspiciously quiet for a suspiciously long time (about five seconds, it damn near worried Britain). Then he got a mischievous look on his face.
