"So many rings." His hand feels rough against my delicate one. He traces the outlines of my fingers, gently guiding them around the silver metal bands that surround them. His thumb lingers on my unoccupied ring finger. "And this?" His emerald eyes are intense and testing me. I drown in them, and if it were not for me being seated, my legs would wobble from underneath me as he patiently waits for a answer. "What? You expected me to be married?" His eyes pin me against the wall as he clasps my hand in his and pulls my knuckles to his lips and kisses them. He then breaks the eye-contact, deciding to focus on the skin of my exposed wrist. Leaning in, he kisses me there. I inhale a sharp breath from the feeling of his teeth grazing my skin. "Well, maybe not yet." ___________________________________ This. This is just a normal story. A normal story of a normal girl, living quite the normal life who loves the ocean, is scared of love, has a amazing best friend, and (a random cat), she is a little traumatised and also drinks a little too much wine (occasionally). Also, she must admit... She lives in the most beautiful city in the world.
