Edalyn Clawthorne was chosen years ago to be a general to lead the knights to protect the kingdom of the Boiling Isles which gave her the chance to help her daughter become the new protector. Princess Amity Blight found out she would be getting a bodyguard to watch over her. She's not very fond of the idea, but there's nothing she can do about it. Amity wasn't impressed when she found out that Luz seemed the type to not be a knight with her kindhearted attitude. What will happen between Luz and Amity once they officially meet each other? At 17 years old Luz decided to run from home she manage to go between realms and ended up on the Boiling Isles. When she decides to stay and help Eda, the most wanted witch on the Boiling Isles, her life turns upside down. She has to deal with various threats, from the deadly environment, and tyrannical government, to her own demons. After a few months, she finally managed to more or less stabilize her life, no matter the outside threats but everything changed as a new foe appeared in her life. How will she deal with the new problem? Will fighting your way through be enough? She finds herself intrigued by the girl and tries to get closer to her. Will Luz find friends and adjust to her new life at Hexside? Will she get close to the minty-haired girl?
