"You sound like a teenage girl," I told him, laughing. I leaned over the nightstand and turned on the lamp. The sudden brightness made me close my eyes.
 I heard Darius laugh on the other side of the line. "Aren't you a teenage girl?" He asked. "Well, yeah, but it's different when you have Cancer. We don't fall in love."
   "I wish you didn't have cancer," he sighed and continued, "for two reasons."

His quicksilver eyes were filled with such an intense, carnal desire I couldn't even look into them, so I looked over his shoulder.
