Hope Lauren has read her share of comics. She's seen supers around her city and even been saved by some on occasion. And she always hoped that she'd be able to join them.
With Jack, her grizzled older mentor with secrets that could shake the world, and Pantheon, a new team of heroes, Hope will have to fight against monumental odds to save Oleander City.
In a world of action, comedy, tragedy, and adventure, there's plenty for a new hero to do.
*Readers can expect a mostly adventure-themed superhero journey that will include a slice of life, action, and hopefully exciting world-building. It will also contain a slow-burn GL/Yuri plotline, which I'll eventually get to when I feel like it, I guess. This will be a very long story with many arcs*

"Rain begins to pour from the sky, mixing with the bright red liquid pooling at the figure's feet. Her long black hair sticks to her pale face, her black eyes blank as she stares at the body laying at her feet." Life has always been hard for the dark hero, and the final straw was when her girlfriend becomes abusive. After a fight with her twin ends in his death, she goes undercover as a villian to stop government documents from being stolen. It's also a nice distraction from her past. However, when she catches a young hero's attention will she be able to continue her mission or will it all go downhill? After years of abuse, this sparky hero flees her family before they can marry her off. Life becomes interesting when a dark villain catches her eye. Can she break through their walls or will fate tear them apart? ((Trigger warning for rape,domestic violence, and child loss. When a weak superhero meets a morally grey supervillain, who shall triumph? The answer may be something none of them had ever expected. Lol this is my story! It is definitely cringey because I'm bad at dialogue, and the running gag of the story is that I will use every conceivable romantic trope. Honestly just please don't give up on it too quickly, I promise it gets better. It is gay. Also, if you showed up from Pinterest I love you. I should be dead. At least, that's what the government officials told me in the super-secret lab where I woke up strapped to a mattress in a windowless room...Sound problematic to anyone else?
