Uncertainty is our lot in life, for the future is never what you expect.
Uncertainty in years.
Uncertainty in days.
Uncertainty in what you'll recollect.
~ CT-8870

--

Among the masses of identical faces that reside on the rain-drenched planet of Kamino, CT-8870 is an oddity. He's been created to serve amongst the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic--even earned himself a specialty in sharpshooting--but unlike his clone 'brothers', CT-8870 has grown to value anonymity. Anonymity, after all, is what keeps safe from the scourges of his Kaminoan overlords. He's even evaded a name in favor of keeping to the background.

His marginal hopes for his short life are quickly rearranged when he's inducted into the squad he'll be serving alongside. Amongst his new brothers, the army's signature fire and tenacity mix seamlessly with cavalier misadventures and even a type pf gentleness CT-8870 hasn't encountered since his childhood. Suddenly, the galaxy seems wider than ever before. Opportunities to learn and grow into something more than a soldier beam around every corner, but so does the ever-present threat of death. Or worse, the threat of loss. Could allowing himself to indulge in these two bonds, to fall into the camaraderie that is brotherhood, possibly be worth the risk of having it all stripped away?

With tomorrow ever uncertain, CT-8870 is forced to step into the fog and shadows of the galaxy as well as the war. There is no such thing as stagnation in life, after all. There is no going backward--only forward.

Nearly five years ago, the Clone Wars ended with a purge that wiped an entire people from the galaxy. Jess, formerly known as CC-9976, a member of the 21st Nova Corps, shot down his Jedi general in accordance with Order 66. Now, Jess finds himself a stormtrooper for the Galactic Empire. The Empire is not the Republic that he was once so proud to serve. Jess finds himself being tested in ways he never was before. As the Empire tightens its fist around the galaxy, Jess makes the decision to escape. Jess makes his way out of Imperial control and, eventually, into the hands of the Rebellion. War is all he's ever known. Whether he is a clone, an Imperial soldier, or a Rebel fighter, one fact remains. He is a trooper and war is in his blood. Ryn Alera has only known slavery throughout her life. The last place she expected to find help was with the Empire. When Ryn is due to serve the rest of her life on Kessel, she makes a stand for her freedom. When a rogue stormtrooper helps her escape, Ryn finds herself trapped in a whirlwind of war and danger. Gradually, she adjusts to her new life on the run, and later, in the Rebellion. As she grows closer with Jess, the man who helped her escape, her values begin to change. She wasn't born a fighter, but if the galaxy's freedom requires it, she will be a soldier. The War In His Mind

44 parts Complete Mature

After war devastated the United States, a survivor buried himself deep underground in a cryostasis chamber connected to a digital world- Wonder City. Dedicated to creating a perfect society, Thomas O'Neil transported his consciousness to the city and dedicated his life to creating a better world. But there's a major catch- everyone in the world is an exact clone of him without any emotions, passions, or original thoughts. Everyone is created through "The Code", a computer code designed to create people and assign jobs. For years it's worked flawlessly, filling Wonder City full of workers and civilians. The society was successful. Until one day when a glitch in the code created the first clone with emotions and thoughts- #937. Angry and determined to have free will, 937 sets out on a path to create a better world from the ashes of the old empire. What happens when the city of the future becomes a world that O'Neil can't contain? Welcome to Wonder City. Welcome to the future. **** Please keep in mind that this is a first draft. Many details, paragraphs, and chapters will inevitably change between this and the final version. There's still lots to be smoothed out. Thank you for understanding! I'm very open to suggestions! -Andrew Purdum
