My name is Jacob Turner, a second year at Teltrine boarding school for boys. It's rare for our school to have new students after the first day of a new year, but a boy named Sam joined my second year class five months into the year, only weeks before the first exams. However, he is expected to complete them along with the rest of the class. I try to figure out what he's all about, but end up finding his deepest secret.
