The man had stepped in front of me. He held the entity by the throat outstretched before him. The thing was clicking and growling in a scratchy voice that sounded like bark tearing as it flailed. Claws scratched at the gauntlet of the man's arm.
"You will tell your master that I have awakened. He will not have her as long as I am alive."
Guess what? I am re-writing it. I have the first five chapters done. I will post them. Bare with me for posting, it will not be regular, but I am going to get it done.

"The fuck you are leaving me." His roar cracked through the hall like lightning. Ara didn't blink. She stood there, calm as death, done to her core. No tears. No tremble. Just a weary exhale as she turned her back on him - the one thing he never thought she'd do. Before she could take a step, his hand shot out, gripping her arm like he was holding on to life itself. "Where are you going, Ara!" His command shook the pack. But she wasn't his to command. Not anymore. Ara ripped her arm free with a force that made even his wolf recoil. "Don't. Touch. Me." Her aura slammed into him, cold and merciless. "You think I'll stand here and watch you mate and breed her?" she hissed, every word a dagger. His throat bobbed. "She meant nothing." She laughed - sharp, broken, brutal. "Yeah? That's why you were fucking her in your office? Couldn't even hide the scent of your betrayal." "Ara, it was a mistake-" She stepped closer, eyes blazing. "Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry. I'm really fucking sorry." His voice broke like he finally understood what loss tasted like. She stared at him with a sad, devastating smile. "Isn't it too late for that, Mate?" One tear escaped - and she crushed it away with her thumb. Then she turned. Walked. Didn't look back. But he didn't chase her. Because he knew. He didn't just lose her. He wrecked her.Complete

In the vanity mirror, a stranger stared back at me. A bride in red. A soulless doll. With a heavy sigh, I began removing the endless pins from my dupatta, loosening the choker, the jewelry. Only my anklets and bangles remained. The door clicked open. Shut with a thud. My heart stopped. I grabbed my dupatta, draping it over my shoulders. He strode toward me, his eyes burning. In fury, he yanked my hair back. Pain seared my scalp. "Why the fuck did you remove this?" he roared. "Don't you know you have to wait for your dear husband?" His voice dripped with psychotic pleasure. "Oh? Were you too desperate to be fucked by your husband?" In one swift motion, he yanked the dupatta away and shoved me onto the bed. I crawled backwards, fear clawing at my chest. Within seconds, he was half-naked, towering over me. He grabbed my leg, dragging me under him, his entire weight crushing my fragile body.

I know it's dangerous but I ignore him, I keep my eyes shut and continue to rock myself back and forth, my hands blocking my ears. I didn't want to look at him, I didn't want to see those black orbs. "Look at me." He demands, his voice depicting his rage. "No," I whisper. "Look at me or I swear, I will do it!" He shouts. I'm not completely sure what 'it' is but I'm sure it has to do with death. Although the poor kid probably wants exactly that. I want that for him right now. It must be a lot less painful than what he's probably going through. Slowly, I reluctantly remove my hands from my ears and pick up my head from my knees, I open my eyes gazing up at him. As soon as I do - I wish I hadn't. Because as soon as I do Alexander snaps his neck. I gasp, tears sliding down my cheeks even faster than they were before. My mate is a monster. "I told you." He laughs, "I am a monster. Forest eyes
I locked eyes with it. Its amber gaze pierced through me, like it could smell my fear. There was something ancient in that gaze, something that stirred an unsettling feeling deep in my gut, a sensation I couldn't quite shake. Its claws scraped against the earth, long and curved, leaving deep marks in the fresh dirt as it moved closer. I could hear its paws thud against the ground, massive and deliberate, each step sending another shock of terror through me. The silence that followed was unnerving, heavy in the air, but then a loud crack shattered the stillness. It came from the forest-close, too close. The beast whipped its head back to the forest, quickly turning his whole body around so I was behind him. The shock from him turning so fast made me stumble a few feet backwards. The ground beneath us seemed to shift as it suddenly lunged forward, its muscles rippling with terrifying power. With one mighty leap, it vaulted over the rotting wooden fence, clearing the barrier effortlessly. The impact of its landing shook the earth beneath my feet. I staggered again, trying to keep my balance as I watched the creature, now free, pause on the other side of the fence. It cocked its head backwards meeting my gaze one final time. Then, without another notice, it darted into the forest, disappearing into the darkness like a shadow swallowed by night. I stood there, my body still trembling, staring at the empty space where the creature had been. The night had swallowed it whole. And though the sounds of the forest returned, soft and distant, the terror of that moment lingered. Was it still out there? Watching? Waiting? My eyes darted back and forth in the forest, trying to see it still hung around. I didn't know, but I couldn't shake the feeling that this encounter, this creature, was only the beginning.
