- Indamira Lei is an 18 year old girl who has experienced so much suffering for so long that ever since she can remember she couldn't feel anything. Indi hasn't truly felt in years not even pain and as amazing as that sounds pain was something she wished for, searched for so what happens when she meets someone who is pain itself. 

- Sawyer Lennox just turned 20 and has still never experienced a hug. When Sawyer was born the death of his mother was proved to be his fault at only 5 hours old. It was discovered that although they couldn't explain why, Sawyers skin could be compared to burning as if you've set yourself on fire or knives thrown into every inch he touches. Naturally Sawyer grew up keeping himself far from everyone but after accidentally grazing a girls finger in the baking supply isle of Walmart he couldn't find one moment to himself. Could he ever let himself enjoy her company or is the fear of killing her too strong?

It happens that several of the guys fall for the same girl, and things go completely wrong. - Juliette often stays close to Emiel, since they're a couple, but her gaze keeps drifting towards Victor, whose sharp humor and self-assured attitude unknowingly intrigue her. She has a slight fear of Victor. - Emiel is Juliette's partner and would do anything to protect her. He's quite jealous, but only when necessary. He's a real man, not a boy. - Victor occasionally throws a challenging look at Emiel, as if silently daring him. Emiel feels more and more uncomfortable. Victor is very smart and cunning, and he would do anything to win Juliette over, convincing her that Emiel isn't right for her, but that he himself is. Victor is the most unreliable, clever, and sly guy. He has his eye on Juliette but makes it all too obvious. He must and will convince her to be with him, showing her that he's the only right one... though that's not actually the case. - Robbe is the smart one in the group. - Gina is clairvoyant. - Amber, who watches all of this unfold, often plays calming melodies on her harp. She has an intuitive gift to sense when tensions rise, and her music usually keeps the group in balance. There is romance, violence, and coarse language, so sensitive readers are warned!! She has always been hidden in the shadows and even in high school she preferred to stay away from anyone living or breathing, especially Mr. Wyatt Evans. When Wyatt comes into the hospital battered, bruised and bleeding, one night, Gemma is to take care of him. Through several long nights at the hospital, dangerous hide outs and intricate explanations, Gemma figures out that there is more to life than her simple routine and maybe nursing the bad boy isn't as bad as it seems.

Sawyer then finds out, there's a lot more to Eli than she thought when she discovers his psychic abilities... she is extremely tempted to do multiple risks that she's never thought she'd be able to do. As the only girl there, it was hard for her but she made a few friends and was very close with another boy. She stood out easily because of her white hair and small figure but it was mostly her eyes. She wasn't born with her white hair, it turned white from the torture and stress her father put her through. Her eyes were different. She was born with large, blood red eyes. Of course no one knew that she hadn't been born with white hair, not even the boy she was basically dating, except a boy little older than her named Lawliet. He was like a brother to her. Lawliet was given a caretaker named Watari and Skye, one named Yamato. She lived her life as normal as she could and climbed the ranks as a detective; even surpassing L, though she didn't know who he actually was. As it's well knows, shinigami liked to gamble to entertain themselves. The king himself gambled his own life and power on her and a few years before she went into Wammy's. The king bet his that she wouldn't risk her life to save a stranger and used his death note to put her in a situation that she could save a child's life by risking her own or continue walking and not give them a second glance. She saved the child and gained his death note, the shinigami eyes, healing and self-healing, the power to bring back to dead, and knowing whenever someone has been killed using a death note. She had not to try draw attention to herself, since others couldn't see the shinigami she talked to. As the shinigami queen it was hard to be normal. She traveled for cases and decided to dye her hair inky purple when she was in America. She returned to Japan to go to school and observe the Kira case.
