Do you know the difference between reality and fantasy? Don't be quick to answer. She did, and now she's dead. You have to know the difference. If you don't you'll end up like her. This world isn't as black and white as it seems. They tell you magic doesn't exist and that myths are just stories. Listen, I don't have much time. That's all a lie. You don't have much time either. You've been chosen. Discover the truth or others are going to suffer. Remember. You must know the difference between Reality and Fantasy. Sincerely, Rivers

April 22 I've been walking for days, they're still tracking me though. i sleep high in the trees, I double back, walk in the river, cover my tracks, start false trails...it's all slowing me down but it's really the only chance I have. I'm on foot. I'm alone. The day the grid went down I was in the mountains and I stayed put for over a month, unable to contact anyone. The electricity is out, the phones don't work, no running water, no cars, no radio...nothing. It's dangerous to go into towns now, survivors are scared, starving and dying by the thousands, but their bodies seem to just disappear. Sometimes I hear screams in the night that sound like they come straight from the depths of Hell, and the scent of sulphur and rot rides on the breeze when the heaviest clouds block out the sun. I think it's the thing that got Dan...the thing that's almost gotten me. Whatever it is, it's completely unnatural and I just know I have to stay ahead of it or I'll be just as dead as Dan is.
