A Throne Of Golden Promises

A rose.

That's how it started, a single golden stemmed rose with lush purple petals.

She had made it out of boredom, at first it was a pencil sketch but it grew from there. It became an object of devotion. Drawing, painting, sculpture, sticker on the inside of her highschool locker. She would see it in her dreams, in the reflection of the mirror.

She had seen it everywhere. Then, she saw it in Emma's eyes. Then it was everywhere, in everything she did. It suprised her more than anything to see the dream flower growing beside her bed, out of a vase made by a girl she'd met once.
