What if you could see your lost love again, but only in another universe?
Elise is a journalist who is shattered by the death of her boyfriend, Jacob. She contacts her scientist friend, Ryan, who claims he has a time machine that can take her back to the day before Jacob's accident. But when they activate the machine, they discover it is a portal to a parallel universe, where Jacob is alive and married to Elise.
Elise is torn between her desire to be with Jacob and her guilt for intruding on his happiness. She also feels a strange connection to her other self, who seems to have everything she had lost. She wonders if she could stay in this world and pretend to be her, or if she should go back to her own reality and face her grief.
