They clash, but Maleficent proposes a truce, realizing they are both trapped. The story leaves the reader wondering about the world, who brought them there, and if they can trust each other.

Book 3 in the Maximoff series. If you haven't read either of the books before, please do so. There is a short summary of book 2 at the beginning but it doesn't contain all the details.
