Journey Beyond The Fire: An ATLA Fanfic
Kaizou grew up hearing Uncle Iroh's stories about the war and the Fire Nation's power. He'd always known the Avatar was the one person who could stop them but he disappeared before he could. When Zuko was banished to search for the Avatar, Kaizou went with him, desperately wanting to escape the palace but it turned out not like he wanted . One day, a strange light shot through the sky over the South Pole. Zuko thought it was the Avatar, so he chased the light while Kaizou stayed in his room. That's when he met the Avatar - not some terrifying legend, but a kid named Aang. When Aang invited him to come along, Kazuo said yes. Traveling with Aang, he saw the world through his own eyes for the first time. He left the Fire Nation behind, hoping he was finally on the right path.
Enslaved
Decades ago, humans found the peaceful land of Vaerali where all dragon-human hybrid races had coexisted in peace and prosperity for many millennia. The humans saw the lush green plains and golden fields of wheat and sent their people in force across the seas to burn and conquer it in the name of their Emperor. Without any other motive than desire for what they don't have, they declared war on Vaerali and chaos erupted across the tranquil lands. Screaming sounded day and night as hybrids all across Vaerali were slaughtered; whole races going extinct in one night as the humans spread their ruin across the land, claiming it one town at a time. This dark time in Vaerali is known all across the world as the Dragon Slaughter; the night the dragon hybrid race was conquered. Years pass and a tentative peace finally settles over the scarred lands of Vaerali as the humans shove the hybrids far into the shadow of their reign. They force any who resist their rule into enslavement or, if that doesn't prove to be enough to crush their spirit, they kill them and hang their wings as trophies - and a warning to all the others who disobey the reign. To this day, the humans still hold all of the power over Vaerali and, in turn, all of the dragon hybrids. But there are storm clouds on the horizon. And from the rubble of a decimated civilization, a rebellion is growing.Lengkap

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked, completely eradicating the Air Nomads, in an attempt to prevent the Avatar from stopping them. They knew that only the Avatar, master of all four elements, had the power to stop them. They succeeded, and when the world needed him the most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and a brother and sister from the Southern Water Tribe discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. But what if Aang wasn't the last airbender? +++ DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the original story or characters. Avatar; The Royal Firebender.
We all know and love the story of Avatar the last Airbender, but what if things were a little different? What if Prince Zuko was the Avatar? This simple question throws the entire Avatar world for a spin. Let's start with a summary shall we? With the disappearance of the avatar after the death of Avatar Roku, the world watched in horror as 3 more fell after him. The airbenders were all wiped out and so went the air nomad avatar. The southern water tribe had all of its benders taken and killed, along with the avatar of water. The earth kingdom has been sacked for decades by an onslaught of firebenders. On the battlefield, the firelord himself slew the avatar in vicious combat. Now the world has all but lost hope as a new Avatar has yet to be discovered anywhere in the world. Many believe that the cycle has ended, others believe that there was no Avatar. A new one would rise from the unlikeliest place possible, from the throne room of the firelord himself. The banished prince, The royal firebender. Avatar Zuko.
