The Receiver

Gabe was just a baby. But he was much more than that.
He was supposed to be dead. But he was saved. His life was different than the lives of other babies, often referred to as newchildren. He lived in a world of sameness. No color, no difference, no choice.
But Gabe was given a chance. He was given memories from his older brother Jonas, who was to be the new receiver. Jonas had received his memories from the current receiver, who did not know about his secret giving of memories to Gabe.
But with a sudden change of events, Gabe is supposed to die again. Jonas sacrifices his plan to bring difference to the world so he can save Gabe.
