In the aftermath of Harumi and Garmadon's attack on Ninjago City, a seemingly petty criminal creates a stir when she is caught robbing a bank in broad daylight. Rita Lovelock has to balance her life as a rising singer and as a thief for her manager, Hillary Seldom. She will have to go on to commit her biggest heist during the annual Golden Gala, all while battling strong emotions brought on her own elemental power. But is this the life she wants?
