Humans and elves are at war and for half-elf, Lotte, this means on thing: 

RUN. 

The only place for Lotte now is the court of the Dragon King where what she is isn't as important as what she can do. 

But Lotte's unique ability to mix iron with magic is a recipe for disaster. The dragon king is dying, his only heir is cursed and a coup is underway. The new powers that be are bent to join, and win, this war using Lotte as their weapon. 

With her past chasing her into the future, Lotte can only save herself if she can break the curse on the dragon's heir...and do so before her own heart breaks.
