Lisa Reed is entering her junior year of high school and her isolated bubble is more comfortable than ever...

Until her English teacher starts a new unit off with a semester long project about protagonists, main characters, heroes. She's not exactly excited as this story requires real-life inspiration and Lisa's life has never been very main character worthy. (Not bad but not exciting, ya know?)

So, what does Lisa do?

She makes a plan to experience new things, to have memories that are main-character worthy. Toss in a new, wary student who's not so adjusted to life in town but the perfect partner in crime and you've got The Protagonist Project.
