I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It takes you through his journey through initiation on in to leadership. He also develops a love interest that isn't in either the books or the movie.
