Life's been a real rollercoaster for you lately. School's a total nightmare, and things at home with mom are a hot mess ever since dad passed away. Just when you're about to throw in the towel, you wake up in a hospital room, and to your shock, your dad's right there with you, but nothing makes sense with the memories you keep. 

Before you can even process this bizarre reunion, you and your dad are victims of an attempted kidnapping, you being rescued by 4 mutant turtle brothers, who offer to help you find your father. As you get to know them better, you find yourself drawn into their world while trying to understand what's going on with your memories. Little do you know, there's more to your connection with these heroes than meets the eye.

Eventual MC x Donatello relationship. A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other.

I always felt like Donnie crushin' on April in the show was a bit off, especially 'cause she never felt the same way and it felt kind of forced.

Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved.

Figured I had nothin' to lose, so this's what came outta that chat. Hope you dig it! First time putting words on paper, fingers crossed it ain't too shabby. Plus, English isn't my first language, so sorry if the phrasing is a bit off.

Dear Diary, Me and April are finally starting to hangout again! You see what happened was: I was hanging out on the rooftop of my apartment building when these men came and tried to kidnap me. I think I might have a crush on him, or at the very least it's limerance. I mean the guy saved me so it's probably just infatuation because of that. Anyway, April said that tomorrow she's gonna take me to the turtles lair so we'll see how that goes! Maybe I can even become friends with them! Especially 𝒟ℴ𝓃𝓃𝒶𝓉ℯ𝓁𝓁ℴ..... TW: This is gonna be a pretty angsty story and it will have sad themes such as parental loss, grief, unrequited love (which gets requited...eventually), and obsession (but not too much) I'll post warnings at the beginnings of chapters for some of these themes but I hope you enjoy! Donnie is Non-Binary. That would normally be fine, but a new side of their life is starting to get in the way of coming out. This "new side" is named Brandon Carter, a human boy. Donnie met Brandon when he was 15 & they were 14, a year before the Shredder incident. Brandon is the one that helped Donatello realize they were Non-Binary when they were 16 & he was 17, just after the Kraang incident. Brandon had opened a whole new world to them. Now, Brandon is 22 years old & Donatello is 21 years old. Donatello is out to April, Leo, & Splinter. And that's it. Donatello is petrified to come out to Raphael, Michelangelo, Casey & Vern. They shouldn't be so anxious since they've known their brothers since they were literal infants & they've known Casey & Vern for as long as they've known April. Brandon isn't making the situation any better, either. Donatello finds it awfully hard to focus on themself when they keep thinking of Brandon. Until Brandon & other Civilians get captured by the Foot Clan, led by Master Karai & Doctor Stockman. Karai & Stockman reveal that the civilians are to be test subjects for a new virus-like recreation of the mutagen. Vincent gives Donnie a lead (but they already knew). When the turtles find the place, they are able to save the civilians with help from April, Casey, & Vern. The Foot Clan then bomb the building. But Brandon is still trapped in his containment unit. Leo tries to get Donnie to leave, but they can't leave Brandon. They find a way to hack into the system & disconnect a weakening Brandon from the tubing, but he is still in the cage. Donnie is able to break it & holds Brandon close as the building collapses around them. They both make it out alive, & they are scared to lose Brandon again. Which leads them to reveal their newest project: an engagement ring. Then, Leo asks why Donnie risked their life for Brandon. That's when Donnie reveals that they are non-binary & that they've been dating Brandon in the first place.
