Emmet Moore and Annalise Luna were betrothed to each other thirteen years ago. Emma was ten, and Annalise was eight. The families had arranged their wedding to be when Annalise turns 21. The royal family was really excited to have their heir get married as soon as possible.

See, Annalise was just another girl from a place far away from the palace. No one knows why the royal family chose her other than the fact that Emmet had accepted their choice at the age of ten.

Flash forward to thirteen years later, when Annalise is invited to the palace. With the wedding talk in session, Anna overhears that the prince-her prince to be-talks of not wanting to marry her. But they have been bethroned for the longest time, and the talk of marriage has been going on for the longest time. They would have to get married, whether both of them agreed or not.

Marriage of Convenience isn't the type of trope Anna thought she would be pushed into, but she is. Will Emmet, the guy who doesn't want Anna as his wife, get over that? But if he does, can Anna get over the sudden anger that comes with the prince talking about not wanting to marry her?

The two were supposed to be having a happy marriage because Emmet had chosen Annalise. But now it seems that Annalise is just Emmet's unwanted princess.

EVERYTHING IS A FIRST DRAFT Princess Anne has gone her whole life thinking she is due to be the first queen to rule Canlyra without a king in her way, until her parents announce she is suddenly set to marry the unnervingly attractive and charming Prince of Otren, Christopher. Prince Christopher and Anne quickly devise a plan, "royally fail as a couple so much, that even a blind person could see they would never work as King and Queen". The betrothed couple must walk a fine line of convincing the royal court and their parents they are not right for each other and being a royal couple for the people, to not instil fear for their nation's future leaders and give the rebellion brewing amongst the seven lands, fuel to their fire that is a threat to the monarchy. With royal dates specifically designed to make Princess Anne and Prince Christopher fall in love, expensive ball gowns at every life event no matter how small, engagement parties, wedding plans for a ceremony destined to fail, and a royal ball. "A Tangled Courtship" is a riveting tale that shows just how much two people can have in common when their freedom depends on them working together to destroy any chance of them being a couple. Set in a dystopian future where humans are forced to return to their Victorian Era ways to stop carbon emissions from rising and all the technological advancements made in the past are now drowned in seawater.
