At first Natalya was treated with suspicion from everyone except Harry Kim her one and only friend which suited her fine especially when she proved those naysayers wrong and graduated top of her class.

What happens when she gets stuck in the Delta Quadrant, away from everyone she knows and loves? And to make matters worse, with the Maquis. A crew of people who hate Cardassians (who don't know they have a spy).

I felt my heart beat speed up as I walked through the corridor and towards my future. I held my breath as I stopped in front of the door and waited for entry inside. Soon the door opened and I slowly walked inside to see six Vulcan's looking down at me. I bowed my head and waited for them to speak. "Maria, youngest to ever apply for the Vulcan Science Academy." He said calmly. "You are... fifteen and believe you have what it takes to join." Another said calmly. "It is only logical for you to join of course. I must say you have made much progress, even with your disadvantage." "And what disadvantage would you be implying?" I asked calmly. "Your half breed of a father, of course." He said as he looked down at me. "Ministers, I must decline." I said softly. "Why did you come to only decline? Was it to satisfy your need to rebel?" "No, I had wanted to join, but I can not join a race that is so cruel and prejudice that they think it is a disadvantage to feel, good day ministers." I said as I turned and walked out of the room. I stopped at the door and turned and sent them a smile. "Live long and prosper." I said before I turned and walked away. I made my way to my house and let out a sigh as I saw my mother waiting outside. I walked up to her and went to talk, only to be met with a hard smack to the face. "How dare you disrespect your father!?" She yelled. "I only did what I believed was right." "You have tainted our name! Go back to them and beg for forgiveness!" "No! I will not beg them for anything! I am not a child mother and I will not be treated as such. I did what I thought right, and you must learn to live with that." "Either apologize or leave, I don't want your father here to see what a disappointment you are." "Fine, I'll do what you ask." I said as I turned and walked away. I felt tears threaten to stream down my face as I walked away from the only home I had ever known.

Volume 1 of CANAISIS ∞ The Last Living Ship trilogy (Chronicles of Canaisis 1) Can a ship, born to sail the ocean of stars to ensure Humankind's survival, save her Captain from the void within his own heart? ∞ ∞ ∞ Canaisis is the last of her kind, a Living Ship forged with Mankind's most advanced technology and artificial intelligence. Together with her Captain, she sails the cold, dark void between stars at multiple times the speed of light-to ensure Humanity's survival. As Canaisis agrees to carry a corporation's entire personelle to their new colony planet, Captain Gareth Levant finds his solitude interrupted by a new culture and a woman whose Gift threatens to unlock the pain caged within his heart. A pain he's carried since before the day he first launched... centuries ago. As if that is not enough, something about Earth's Citizens sanctioning the corporation's relocation rings falsely with undertones that has Captain Levant on edge. He will do anything to keep his ship and passengers safe. Captain Levant loves his ship, as any good captain does since the beginning of time-whether with wind, sail and ocean waves as in the days of old, or in the vast depths of space. But if Canaisis were able to return that love, could it burn bright enough to light the way through the void within the Captain's own heart? Or does it require the Gift of human touch? ∞ ∞ ∞ By @kemorgan65 and @RavenRock2112 ∞ ∞ ∞ A prequel to the pre-story of #ShadowOfThePastTrilogy ∞ The Displaced. ∞ ∞ ∞ SEQUELS: Canaisis ∞ A Captain's Journey Canaisis ∞ A Shard Of Code ∞ ∞ ∞ REVIEW by @Ray_Of_Sunshine9 "...loved the overall themes within the story, and what it meant for me as a person - a mission of delivering hope and finding a new home. ... = 'You're my guardian angel, you know that?' He weaved his fingers in her hair and leaned down to kiss her. Despite the heavy smell of stale kanar on his breath, all she wanted right now was to press her lips to his, let his mouth devour her, have his hands run all over her body. She wanted to be his. But that was the issue right there: he could not be hers. = A new, slightly more cheerful version of the most underdog moment in known Cardassian history - the Rebellion. The OC is a young Bajoran woman who grew up among her captors. Despite everything, she not only considers the empire her home, she is also attracted to its inhabitants - a lot. As a graduate of a local military academy, she enlists as the secretary to the supreme commander: Gul Dukat himself... What could possibly go wrong, right? No need to be a fan of DS9 or ST to read: extensive footnotes included ♥ Three romances and a love triangle in a military environment with war going on (not just) in the background. Angst, smut, action, emotion, soulful romance. Some clean-up of facts and events and a lot of blanks filled to make the story served to us in the series more whole. Also containing a breathtaking screenshot of Damar ;) ♥ Warnings: explicit sex scenes, violence, language. Trigger warnings: in bold above chapters containing them. This is a Star Trek (Deep Space 9) fanfiction. The setting and most characters belong to Paramount Global & Gene Roddenberry. The original characters belong to me. Kind comments and civil constructive criticism always welcome ♥

Lucy's parents left her life too early. Now she's alone at an orphanage. All hope is lost. Until... Igneel decides to adopt her as his own. Lucy doesn't like the idea of living with strangers, but after getting friendlier with the Dragneel's eldest son, Zeref, she decides it might not be so bad. Don't jinx yourself, Lucy. Natsu is the same age as Lucy, and for some reason, he HATES her. Is it because he doesn't like sisters? Maybe he doesn't like that she's the main attention in the house? Maybe it's her stupidly bright, annoying blonde hair? Whatever it is, he hates it, and he hates her. At school, Natsu is popular: He's handsome, smart, and totally badass. So when Lucy finally starts attending his school, he pours all of his hatred onto her. Lucy, being Lucy, definitely doesn't just sit back and let herself get drenched in it. She ignores him, glares at him, the whole package. As time passes, Lucy is more comfortable with her new family. She opens up to her brothers and parents about her biological mother and father. Natsu, thought he refuses to admit it, starts to show feelings of love for his sister. Then, Natsu gets competition. Sting Eucliffe is a new student at their school, and him and Lucy immediately click. It's like a match made in heaven; and Natsu hates it. A lot of things happen, and Lucy and Natsu fall in love. I don't want to spoil everything, because then no one will read it :'). Read the rest to find out! Characters don't belong to me! All Hiro Mishima-san's.

"You really care about her, don't you?" Tom said, but the commander didn't answer. So Tom clarified his statement. "The Captain, I mean." "I have the utmost respect and admiration for Captain Janeway." Chakotay's response had been a long time coming. "Yeah, that too..." Tom threw in, as the tone of Chakotay's voice suggested the question had hit a little too close to home. Tom paused momentarily, mulling over what to say next or whether to keep his mouth shut. He put his hand on Chakotay's shoulder. "Commander, I could be wrong but, personally, I think you're holding out on false hope. If it was me, I'd want to know for sure. Maybe even push the point. Make a move. I mean, what's the worst case scenario here? Either she's going to phaser you, or she's going to..." "Consider yourself relieved, Lieutenant!" They both jumped, startled at the sound of her voice. Inwardly, Tom wondered how long the captain might have been standing behind him, while he tried to remember the last few words of his conversation with Chakotay. SYMBOLS or more informally "Why the heck Chakotay chose Seven of Nine when, previously, he wanted to throw her out the nearest airlock" is a work of fanfiction. It sticks to canon and is an ensemble piece, but focuses on Janeway and Chakotay predominantly. Paramount and Pocket Books own everything Star Trek - no copyright breaches intended. I just took the characters out for a play. Literary agent sent most of this to Pocket Books in 1998, but they didn't want it. I have a sweet rejection letter! So it's mine now. A couple of re-writes since then to relocate it in Season 7 and add Chapter 1 and the Epilogue. Heartfelt thanks to Mary Wood, Heather Harwood, Sara Creasy and Mary S (Duffydog) for the editing long ago. Book cover template from Graphic Springs. Feedback is always appreciated.
