The story starts when a young Nigerian boy named Kamalu abruptly loses his father who, unknown to him, was his anchor to the physical realm. After his father's burial the anchor weakens and he is suddenly plunged into the unseen world existing around us. A world of gods, demigods and evil spirits co-existing or leeching on the human race, each of which would go out of their way to make sure he wounded up dead. Using the knowledge and skills his father had sacrificed his life to pass unto him, Kamalu must find out who he is and most importantly, who he could become while battling against forces beyond his comprehension.
