After the Empire retreated to east amid the turmoil of barbarian migration southward, somaphants in Europe were stripped of their status as provinces. Newly as kingdoms, centralisation was the way to survive, and for their own power and goods, as the Empire's shadow already became a wasteland, Gallia and John had to start a tough trudge. Facing withering of the old, divergence of companions, expedition between believers... Inconstant trust and betrayal were the bitter medicine made them mature physically and mentally, though the struggling hatred and love were nightmares bringing them sins, which could only cease in human blood and violent death. Nevertheless, this was only a limited pause on the wheel of fortune. In broader time and space, empires in the east and future somaphants called colonies also put their fate tiding and rotating with their forces...
