When Starlo finds Kanako distraught at his doorstep, sobbing about her mom having Fallen Down so soon after losing her dad, his whole world is shaken. Ceroba was his best friend, his lifelong friend, even his unrequited love. But he's determined to make sure that the one person more precious to Ceroba than anyone is gets to grow up as happy as she can among this tragedy.
As Starlo adjusts to parenthood, uncovers the truth of Ceroba's condition and discovers an old family secret, he's put through the wringer. But he has to stay strong for Kanako and for her future, particularly when breaking the Barrier seems closer than ever...
