Luke Masters and Trey Castle were friends for most of their childhood. But it all ended in high school when Trey turned his back on Luke and left him to get beat up by some bullies. And to put icing on the cake, he even made Luke's girlfriend at the time fall for him and leave Luke.
Luke then started to train to wrestle, and eventually ended up in NJPW, where he gained immense popularity. And while he was down in Japan, he learns of a "Mr. Castle" that was gaining popularity faster than anyone before. After some digging, Luke finds out that "Mr. Castle" is his former best friend Trey. When Trey wins the United States Championship from Rey Mysterio in 2023 and Luke's contract with NJPW is up, Luke plans on getting some long overdue payback from Trey, though it may not be as easy as Luke thinks
