About the World:
The narrative unfolds in the year 269 in a fictional world reminiscent of the Victorian era, complete with period fashion and firearms, comparable to our history around 1870. The languages in this world mirror those of our reality, albeit with different names. Similarly, the countries present in this world share similarities with ours, but they go by distinct names or are entirely new entities.

About the Story:
The tale delves into the life of a retired officer and his struggles post-war as he endeavors to find his place in the world. However, his journey won't be a walk in the park, as the anthropomorphic revolution is gaining momentum. Our protagonist is faced with a challenging decision: will he stand by his former comrades, or will he align himself with the government in the midst of this uprising?

This conflict introduces a gripping dynamic, forcing the retired officer to confront his loyalties and choose a side in the face of the escalating anthropomorphic revolution. The story is set against a backdrop of political unrest, adding layers of complexity to our protagonist's quest for purpose and identity in a world undergoing significant transformation.All Rights Reserved

Before we get into it, this is a long running roleplay between me and a friend of mine, who will be mentioned as Sage from now on. We started on 8-28-2019 and at the time of this writing it is still ongoing. I have partially cleaned it up, on the matters of grammatical and spelling errors, but I left the rest as-is, so there are some mistakes, either with period accuracy, me being a dumbass and mixing characters up, etc. My posts will be marked with a 'Z' prefix, and his with a 'S'. As for the roleplay itself, it started out as a basic vore roleplay loosely based on Anno Dracula that eventually progressed into a complete alternate timeline, similar in basics, with some other references to pop culture and other series, in a way not unlike the source material. As such, it's a wild mess of canon, historical and original characters, and references throughout. Some are one offs and others are revealed later on. For those not in the know, I will add a list of references at the end of the section. Of course, due to the subject matter and the original purpose of the roleplay, there will be vore, gore, physical and emotional trauma, character death and swearing. With that, let's dive in.

I'm totally open to criticism and any kind of feedback would be appreciated. I can only improve, right? You might see a lot of "Sargent" instead of "sergeant" so... This story tries to put aside the transformation fetish aspect of the original game to provide a solid story. Meet our protagonist, you should probably know the drill by now: They awoke at a facility. Weird furry things are trying their best to catch him, but unlike the last person that tried to survive in this facility, he's been lucky enough to have come across several tools to help him out. The story is told through the entries and sketches our protagonist uses to remain calm. This story contains slightly-gratuitous coarse language from our protagonist every so often. Although no sexual content is present in the story, it was built under a furry transformation game, thus it can be slightly uncomfortable to certain groups of people. "Changed" made by DragonSnow.

This story follows the young prodigy Grant Alan, a scholar turned telekinetic, surviving in a strange new world after the colossal science vessel, the Halfpace, passes into a future very foreign to him, populated by anthropomorphic creatures that have dominated humanity after a planet-wide war. To ultimately find out what happened to the last vestiges of humanity, Grant must use his wits, friendships and newfound power to navigate this new and dangerous world while an ancient, malevolent force slowly corrupts its new anthro leaders. I wrote this because I was partly inspired by "A Man In A Beast's World" by @GhillieCamo. Admittedly, my head was kind of in two places when writing this. Part of me wanted to create this really thoughtful, slow-burning, thriller sci-fi story experience with lots of lore and things to mull over, and the other half wanted to make a human x anthro romance story, dripping with provocative scenes, dialogue and drama. I'd say the story has both, but more of the former, which I think is ultimately better than if it was the other way around. I don't claim to be the best, or even good, at storytelling, and there are definitely a couple issues I have in my story, but people have been telling me they really like this story. As of March of 2025, this story does not violate any of Wattpad's Terms Of Service/Content Guidelines; All characters depicted in sex scenes are consenting adults. This story does not promote self harm or violence and does not include illegal sex acts of any kind.
