When a heath diagnosis demands the immediate departure and arrival, from New York City to southern Italy, Ama, named loosely after her father's hometown-is less than thrilled to play catch up, all these years later. Now a 24 year old young woman, the last thing on her mind is repairing an awkward, long forgotten and abandoned relationship with her father.

Pressured into the acceptance of her summons, she is now forced to face her father, whom is a complete stranger and had been a mystical figure in her psyche throughout her entire youth. Now, here he is, in the flesh with open arms. Regardless, she is encouraged to restore these old relationships with not just him, but many of her relatives as well.

And just when that wasn't hard enough, she discovers not only will she now be in the small shared home of her many culturally different and uniquely behaved family members, she will be working alongside a peculiar, handsome and enticing young man. One who threatens the life and routine she has back home in NYC, by pushing her outside her comfort zone and finding new buttons to press, she hadn't known existed. He's a charismatic, warm and optimistic drink of water, but for a hardened, stubborn and unwilling Ama, she'd rather choke. And when the fire burns intensely between them, slowly entrapping her, she's firm in the refusal to quench her thirst.

Atlas, she cannot stay forever...She has a job, many girlfriends, a dazzling reputation in the big apple and a handsome man with wedding plans waiting for her back home. Whether she agrees or not, as for now upon the Amalfi Coast, she is anchored & docked.
