Alex Fitzgerald is just herself. No one cares about her. If anyone speaks to her, it's to hurt her. Nate Turner is the guy that everyone wants. Naturally, Alex has a huge, embarrassing crush on Nate. And Nate has a huge, embarrassing crush on Alex. Neither will say anything. One day, in a state of boredom, Nate writes a message on a sticky note, and presses it under his chair during his biology class. Alex finds it during her study hall in that same room. She writes back. For the whole school year, Nate and Alex share a stream of yellow and purple sticky notes, writing to each other. Alex is happy that she has a friend. Nate is happy that someone is talking to him that DOESN'T know who he is.  There's only one problem. Neither of them know who they're writing to.
