Lincoln City - Season 1

8 parts Complete Mature

Lincoln City is the second incarnation and a soft reboot of the Eyoho Verse's Torchwood: Lincoln City main series. The decision to reboot the series was made by its creator, Shane Wray, while writing Season 4 in February 2023. Wray believed that the former formula had become stale and less "Torchwood" as time went on and thus opted to remove "Torchwood" from the title. This change would allow him more freedom in crafting episodes and attract a wider audience by providing a gateway into the series without inundating them with complex lore, with one of Wray's work colleagues calling the Eyoho Verse a "Spider's Web" when they were discussing it. Unlike the Torchwood: Lincoln City series that ran from 2019 to early 2023, Lincoln City takes a more fantasy approach to goings on and takes heavy inspiration from the TV show Supernatural as well as folklore and many urban legends as the main character of the Eyoho Verse, Shane, becomes a monster hunter following the destruction of the Torchwood: Lincoln City base and an encounter with Sam and Dean Winchester (the brothers coming from another universe) in Season 4 of Torchwood: Lincoln City.
