The Swan and her Mikaelson

Edward swiftly departed from the shadowy forest floor, leaving a devastated Bella behind. Unbeknownst to the La Push Pack and the Cullen's, an enraged Mikaelson observed the entire scene. Having experienced similar heartbreak himself, he had become numb to emotions and disconnected from his own humanity. As he witnessed a colossal wolf transform into a man and carry the heartbroken Bella, he discreetly trailed the werewolf back to a modest house where her father and friends identified Sam Uley as the carrier. Mikaelson quickly memorized Bella's address, pulled out his phone, and sent a text to Aro Voltari. In his message, he informed Aro about a situation in Forks, where he was gathering information for him, and expressed his desire to acquaint himself with the girl who had managed to unite wolves and humans. Aware of the tribes' inclination to keep secrets, including the existence of the children of the moon, Mikaelson was intrigued.
