In the beautiful kingdom of Pola, where freedom, happiness, and joy abounded, there was a strict law that governed the lives of its people. Women were to be courted between the ages of 15 to 18 and married by 19 to ensure the legacy of Pola.
Failure to comply meant banishment without any exceptions.
Princess Lotus Eloise Adore Florence, the daughter of King Florence, was turning 18 next year, and she had not allowed anyone to court her or asked for her hand in marriage. Her pale skin, long brown hair with a hint of ginger in the sunlight, honey brown eyes, round full lips, and petite body made her the most sought-after maiden in all of Pola.
As the deadline for her 18th birthday drew near, King Florence was faced with a difficult decision. He knew he had to set an example for the people of Pola, as the law was not to be taken lightly.
Ambrose Clarke, a strong and powerful knight from a neighboring kingdom. The King believed that this union would create a powerful alliance and bring peace to the land. With his curly black hair, brown eyes, and "jock" body, he was the most eligible bachelor in the neighboring kingdom and had been vying for Princess Lotus's attention for years. However, she had shown no interest in him or anyone else. The king called upon his daughter and the young suitor to his throne room, where he made an announcement that shook the kingdom to its core. Princess Lotus Eloise had until the eve of her 18th birthday to accept Ambrose Clarke's proposal of marriage. If she did not comply, she would be banished from Pola forever, never to return. The princess was taken aback by her father's ultimatum, but she knew the law of the land. As the days passed and the deadline loomed closer, Princess Lotus found herself torn between her duty to her kingdom and her own desires. Would she go through with the marriage to Ambrose, or would she defy the law of Pola and face the consequences of banishment? Only time would tell.

BOOK 2 OF 3 Sequel to Tell Me The Truth - "Violet, I need to tell you something." Phoebe mumbles somewhat nervously. "Can it wait?" "Not really, it's about who-" "Fuck, I don't have time, I'm sorry!" I take everything from her hands and the doorman opens the door to the building for me with a big smile. I don't so much as glance around on the way to the elevator. Usually I would take my time studying the current interior and grade them in my head, but I actually have no time for any of that. I tap my foot impatiently in the elevator and straighten out everything in my hands while I head up to the fortieth floor. I watch the numbers move up achingly slow and barely wait for the doors to open before I slip through them. I head down the hall and see an open door that leads to a big office space. When I enter, I'm immediately met with a warm smile from the receptionist. I exhale heavily and smile back. "Violet Parker?" She asks and I nod my head, still trying to catch my breath. "Sorry I'm late." "You're right on time." She stands from her desk and leads me toward the conference room in the middle of different offices and cubicles. She opens the door and gestures for me to step through. The chatter from the men in the room dies down when I enter and I barely look up at them, just trying to get my stuff on the table before I drop any of it. "I apologize for not being here sooner, I see you started without me." I say with a smile. "Not at all, you can't start the show without the star." A friendly sounding older gentleman says and I smile wider, turning on the charm, and finally look up to assess the room of men in front of me. I lift my head to look toward the end of the table and everything stills. My eyes lock with a very familiar pair of green ones and I feel the color drain from my face as everything around me turns into white noise. Completed ✨👸🏼 Born to the fairy elite, the royal line, next in line to take the crown, a queen to be announced on her next birthday, with her royal responsibilities and...one choice... only one... everything else has always been decided for her. "Who has Princess Rowan chosen to be her eternal mate?" A question, oh a question, It was already whittled down by the draw upon her birth, a family name picked at random, to keep this fairy line fair, hardly fair to the one picking, to do so from such a small pool of options. Luckily fairy families were large but as Rowan searched the faces in front of her, five brothers... all handsome, all rather eager to take the beautiful Princess's hand... it was the sister, stood to the left, observing, that caught Rowans eye and if she only got this one choice then it was clear. She had read the rules, many, many times, they clearly state to pick from the chosen families kin, sixteen years and over only, nothing on the gender, not that it had ever been done before but rules were rules and Rowan smirked as she let her choice roll over her tongue. She would choose the one thing her father would be most furious about but couldn't change, her choice, and no other fairy, king or not could change it. "Andromeda" she would announce, finger flexed toward her, and the entire kingdom would erupt in the great hall with shock, as Andromeda of the sky line, was pushed forward by her mother into the mix with her brothers. "Rowan" her father would curse "if you place that ring on her finger your line has ended... please rethink your choice" But Rowan didn't care... and Andy had called out to her long before now, the beautiful brunette with striking green eyes, a daring smile and a powerful magic that Rowan had long admired. And after all... it was Rowans choice... to hell with the rules. *I DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION FOR THIS BOOK TO BE COPIED, OR ADAPTED ON THIS PLATFORM, OR ANY OTHER, BY ANYONE ELSE* *Completed February 2023*

Medieval England - Year 1450: Eleanor was a poor shopkeeper's daughter whose only hope for a better life for herself and her family was to marry well. When she caught the eye of Thomas Fletcher, a royal courtier of noble blood, her family thought he was the answer to all their problems. Eleanor thought he was unattractive and rude, but she didn't have any better options as a poor commoner so she accepted his proposal. They just had to somehow convince King Henry that she was a suitable bride for Thomas so he would approve of their union, because marrying Thomas meant that she would join Henry's inner circle as a courtier. At just twenty three years old Henry had to take over as the King of England when his father passed away unexpectedly. On his first day presiding over the royal court, he was faced with a tough decision, should he approve Thomas' marriage to Eleanor, a commoner that he was almost certain was unfit to join his Royal Court? He decided the only fair way to decide was to have her stay at his castle for a week as his guest so he could see for himself if she had what it took to withstand the pressure of the life of a royal courtier. What King Henry didn't count on was the feelings that started to grow for that commoner throughout the week. She was already betrothed to someone else and even if she wasn't, a King could never marry a commoner. But he also couldn't ignore the growing need he felt inside to be with her, even if it would throw his country into a civil war and turn both of their lives upside down. He knew some things were worth fighting for.
