Constable Elizabeth Fraser thought she'd spend her whole career policing the Canadian north. As a third generation Mountie, she knows how to track suspects through wilderness, handle a dog sled team, and press a scarlet tunic in a log cabin, but only knows American cities from family stories. Every day she strives to live up to her family legacy, but too often falls short of her own expectations.

Yet when her best friend turns up dead, the trail leads to Chicago, where her old-fashioned skills are as welcome as a spring blizzard. The Chicago detective assigned to the case, an old friend's estranged son, wants nothing to do with Frasers or Mounties. To solve the case, she'll have to mend a broken family, adapt to a strange new place, while bringing her loyal wolf-dog and a dose of Yukon politeness, duty, and honour to the big city.

In this Due South fan fiction, thirty years after Benton Fraser went to Chicago, his daughter follows in his footsteps.

Content level (violence, profanity, sexual content) is similar to the TV show (on the clean side of mid-90s prime time network TV). No explicit sexual content or graphic violence. Contains spoilers for the original show.

Free on Wattpad. ********** A GOOD MAN, FALLING APART Small town police officer Simon Labelle repressed his attraction to sexy shopgirl Leona Chaisty for years. He's good at controlling his feelings--or he used to be, before the bombing that he can't solve, that he should have prevented. Now, after a chance encounter with Leona at the lake, Simon can't get her out of his head. All those high school fantasies roar to life. A BAD GIRL, WISHING FOR MORE Leona is drawn to the intensity in Simon's pretty-boy blue eyes, but he's a good man, and she's not just hopelessly kinky--she'll never know how to love. Still, unlike everyone else, Simon acts like she might actually have a heart. The more time they spend together, the more she wishes he were right. A CHALLENGE NEITHER CAN RESIST After a second unsolved case pulls them together, their sexual chemistry rattles them both, and hints at an unsettling fetish that Simon struggles to suppress. Leona pushes Simon to decide what he wants--whether to dominate, submit, or some mix of both--while Simon, already falling for his dream girl, finally gets her to admit that she's lonely. Each challenges the other to reveal more, to cede control, to be vulnerable. But they're both more fragile than they appear. It's only a matter of time before one pushes too hard, and the other breaks. ********** Trigger warnings for depression, suicidal ideation, and possibly alcoholism. Significant child abuse (neglect only) is also part of a character's backstory. There is gender-bending, femdom, and a pretty scary control-based fetish. There is also off-screen violence and death, and mild on-screen violence.

Meet Lexie McGinty. Unfulfilled Graphic Designer at Bostock Bank and according to her best friend Evie 'proper lovely'. Lexie's loves, particularly snowboarding and Labradors - seem to have been filed away in the drawer marked 'Time to get sensible' Navigating through the murk of London life; career, boyfriend, getting a toe (let alone a foot) on the housing ladder is all proving to be slightly underwhelming. So, when the global recession hits hard and redundancy beckons, she's left without a job for the first time in her life. But, as her wise and wonderful (if a little cantankerous) Grandmother would say, every cloud has a silver lining. At least unemployment means boyfriend Henry might get off her back about buying a house. Lexie wishes she had the same pluck as her best friend Evie, who has a million and one ideas about which direction she should go (none of which involve Henry, incidentally.) Then life throws another curveball that sends her on an adventure she never anticipated. The population of Fraser Mountain has just increased by one. When Lexie finds herself far from home in the frigid winter of the Canadian Rockies, she meets a motley crew of ski-bums, handsome ski-patrollers and friendly locals who live the dream, united by a passion for snow sports and mountain life. With no job, no boyfriend and no real plan, can she really fit in and carve out a new life, and find new love, in Fraser, or should she face up to her responsibilities and get back on the grown up bus? _________ Hello! My name is Alex and I wrote this novel based on my experiences when I upped sticks from London to live in a small ski town in Canada a few years ago. I absolutely loved writing this book and I really hope that those who read some or all of it enjoy the story, maybe giggle a few times, and give me some great feedback - thank you!

"So, let me get this straight. You stomped all over his paperwork?" She started. "Not intentionally, but yes," I confirmed it. "Threw a drink in his face?" She added. "Expensive red wine." I described. "Rammed into his car with yours deliberately?" she counted on her third finger. "Um...I'm not proud of that one," I said cringing. "And called him offensive names?" She ended the list and I winced. "Twice." I specified. "And you're still alive?" She blinked, looking genuinely surprised. "Geez, don't be dramatic or anything..." I frowned at her hyperbolic statement. "Maybe he's keeping you around to get revenge." She suggested. Possible. I wouldn't put it past him. "I didn't know alright!" I exclaimed. "Let's hope that excuse is acceptable.." She was merely amused. "Working with my new boss is going to be a piece of work." ** Synopsis: When the CEO of Signature Heights: Jensen Black, and a stubborn employee: Alexandra Brook, clash, it's a battle of wits & a war of perseverance.
